Local Activities
Pukehina Beach and the Little Waihi Estuary offer many activities to choose from:
Water Sports -- Kayaking (three supplied), swimming, surf/body surfing, ideal for kite surfing, sail boats, windsurfing, water-skiing, jet skiing
On Land - 8 kilometres of white sand beach, estuary walks, two public tennis courts, children’s playground, kilometers of safe cycling roads
Fishing -– kontiki from the beach, set a long line or fish from the kayaks, surf cast for snapper and kahawai from the beach or mouth of estuary, gather tuatuas from the sand
Boating -– boat ramp 100 metres from the house on Little Waihi Estuary, dinghies and zodiacs
Pukehina Village -- dairy and takeaway, licensed bar and restaurant, surf life saving club
